Privacy Notice

This notice explains how SJM Operations Ltd, trading as SMCO, collects and uses your personal information when you join the SMCO email list. I keep it simple: I only collect what I need, I use it to send you useful emails, and I never sell it.

1Who I am

SMCO is a trading name of SJM Operations Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom (company number 16694170, registered office Office 302 Breckland B Centre, St Withburga Lane, Dereham, NR19 1FD), run by Sam Milton. SJM Operations Ltd is the data controller for the information you give me. You can contact me about anything in this notice at sm@sammiltonco.com.

2What I collect

Your first name, last name and email address
Your answers to the short questions on the sign-up form (for example, whether you work in sales, manage a team, or run a business, and the size of your team or company)
Basic technical information collected automatically by the page, such as your browser type and how you arrived at the page

3How I use it

To send you emails with sales tips, insights and updates about my coaching and consultancy services
To tailor what I send you, so it's relevant to where you are in your career or business
To understand who is joining the list, so I can improve what I offer

4My legal basis

I rely on your consent, which you give when you submit the sign-up form. You can withdraw it at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any email or by emailing me.

5Who I share it with

I don't sell or rent your information to anyone. I use trusted service providers to run the list, including Leadpages (which hosts this page and stores form submissions) and Klaviyo (my email marketing provider, which stores your details and sends my emails). They only process your information on my behalf and under my instructions.

Some of these providers may store data outside the UK, for example in the United States. Where that happens, your information is protected by appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.

6How long I keep it

I keep your information for as long as you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe, I'll stop emailing you and remove your details, keeping only what's needed to make sure you aren't contacted again.

7Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

Ask for a copy of the information I hold about you
Ask me to correct or delete it
Object to or restrict how I use it
Withdraw your consent at any time
Ask for your data to be transferred to someone else

8Complaints

If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, please get in touch with me first and I'll do my best to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

9Changes to this notice

I may update this notice from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
